Kwame Ture / Stokely Carmichael & Black Power

Stokely Carmichael var talsmanden for Black Power og ledende i radikaliseringen af borgerrettighedsbevægelsen i USA i 60'erne. Han døde som Kwame Ture for 15 år siden.

Stokely Carmichel was the spokesman for Black Power and the radicalization of the US civil right movement in the 60s. He died as Kwame Ture 15 years ago.

15. november 1998 dør den fremtrædende fortaler for Black Power i USA, Stokely Carmichael/Kwame Ture i Guinea. Han var den militante leder af aktivistorganisatonen i de amerikanske sydstater Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), blev medlem af Black Panther Party, ca. 1970 blev han pan-afrikaner ("sort nationalist") og tog ophold i Afrika.

On November 15 1998 the outstanding leader of Black Power in USA, Stokely Carmichael/Kwame Ture, died in Guinea. He was the militant leader of the activist organization in the US South, Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), he became a member of the Black Panther Party, and app. 1970 he became a pan-african ("black nationalism") and emmigrated to Africa.
