+PEOPLE'S KITCHEN
English:
Financial crisis impacts not only people but also the environment. Powerful industrial actors together with corrupt politicians cooperate for the looting of natural resources and people's lives. The exploitation of mineral wealth is projected in a capitalist world as one of the most reasonable options to create economic growth.
The recent so-called debt crisis provides fertile ground for trespassing the environmental, social and human rights. The governments of Greece and Romania are selling out the country's natural resources to multinational mining corporations. However, the same thing happens in Sweden and Finland regardless of the debt trap. To achieve their purpose, they use police repression, manipulation through media and divide the people through false promises of labour and prosperity.
Against these plans, local communities and citizens resist through solidarity actions and campaigns against the destruction of nature and the degradation of life.
