RUC: Ny bog om Marxistisk Økonomi v. Rob Sewel

De makroøkonomiske modeller har de seneste år vist sig utilstrækkelige, i forhold til, at beskrive den økonomiske situation. Dog bliver vi stadigvæk, i overvejende grad, undervist i modellerne fra før den historisk store økonomiske krise ramte verden i 2008.

Derfor har vi i Marxistiske Studerende på RUC fået Rob Sewell som er forfatter på en ny bog om marxistisk økonomi til at komme ud på RUC. 

Han stiller op til foredrag og diskussion om krisen, marxistisk økonomi, og ikke mindst hvad han ser som behovet for et helt nyt system.

Rob Sewell er født i 1951 og er en veteran i den britiske marxistiske bevægelse. Han er ansat som redaktør på avisen 'Socialist Appeal' i Storbritannien og sidder i redaktionen på magasinet 'In Defence of Marxism'. Han er også forfatter til'In the Cause of Labour: History of British Trade Unionism' og 'Germany: from revolution to counter-revolution'.

Så kom med og hør om en anden tradition inden for økonomisk tænkning eller kom for at diskutere økonomi, og hør nogle argumenter du måske aldrig er støt på før! Foredraget kommer til at være på engelsk.

In recent years the macroeconomic models have proved insufficient to describe the economical situation. However, we are still, largely, being taught models which are from before the historically big economic crisis that hit the world in 2008.

Therefore Marxist Students at RUC have invited Rob Sewell who is the author of a new book on Marxist economics to come to RUC.

He will be doing a lecture and discussion on the crisis, Marxist economics, and especially what he sees as the need for a completely new system.

Rob Sewell was born in 1951 and is a veteran of the British Marxist movement. He is employed as an editor at the newspaper 'Socialist Appeal' in Britain and is part of the editorial board of the magazine 'In Defence of Marxism'. He is also the author of 'In the Cause of Labour: History of British Trade unionism' and 'Germany: from Revolution two counter-revolution'.

So join us and hear about another tradition in economic thinking or discuss the economy, and hear some arguments you might never have heard before! The meeting will be in English.
