An Anarchist view of the Gezi Park protests

During the summer we have witnessed the rise of a strong popular movement in Turkey, centered around the protest for the preservation of a public park in central Istanbul, called Gezi Park, and against corruption and a repressive state.

To give an anarchist view on these events, we have invited two Turkish activists to come to Folkets Hus in Copenhagen. They will give a presentation on the events of the protests, and afterwards there will be a possibility to ask questions and an to have an open discussion.

Approximate program:

19:00 – The café is open + coffee and cake
19:30 – Presentation by the Turkish activists
20:15 – Questions and discussion
21:00 – Finish
